Two Saginaw Soap Box Racers Claim National Titles in Seven Day Span
On Saturday, July 21st, Andrew Feldpausch, age 15 from St. Johns, claimed the World Super Stock Championship in the All American Soap Box Derby in Arkon, Ohio and on July 27th, Levi Dodson. age 12 from Bay City, took the National Derby Rallies Stock Division Championship in Muncie, Indiana at their national race. They both did well in the races that they did not win with Andrew taking 7th in his division in the NDR Super Stock Division and Levi winning 2 heats to get into the top 18 at the All American Stock Divison.

The Saginaw area should be very proud of all their racers. Several other racers placed high in the National Derby Rallies and one won a special award:

The 2008 National Derby Rallies Championship Race will be held here in Saginaw next year at our fine facility. Come out next year and watch the best soap box racing in the nation next July. The Saginaw racers will be trying to defend their “turf”.
